Hi,
Came across ur blog unexpectedly when i was web hunting for telugu blogs esp telugu short stories. guess it was from “thulika”.

anyway after looking at this, i was thinking about a chat, a heated one i had recently with one of my “nellore” friendswho was a big fan of Dr. YSR.

The topic was of “corruption in general and in SEZ ” when i said all the land thats being acquired was by powerful big people with little public interst, he made this following comment.

“arey, becoz of SEZ people esp farmers are getting 1 lakh per acre for worthless land”. i said- what abt the people who will get 1 crore for the same land when the acquire it as SEZ?

Than he said, is it not better to sell than land for 1 lakh than starving for food due to failed crops?

i know it is some what stupid thing i am posting but just wanted to hear your angle.

Why should we oppose SEZs?

There are many positive aspects to them and whats required is correction in policy, so as to make them more effective and beneficial to the common man.
